Here, the cottages are situated inside the forest, but only 85 mts from the main road that bifurcates the thick forest. The above 85 mts look like a canopy. The resort area is fully protected by barbed wire fencing and power fencing. The Naalukettu restaurant and some of the cottages are facing the reserve forest. The drive to the resort from Kattikulam town (Kerala) or Kutta town (Karnataka) is also through the forest which takes less than an hour. Also important tourist attractions like Kuruva Island, Tholpetty Forest, Pakshipathalam Mount, Irippu Waterfall and Kalindi River are nearby.

Agraharam Cottages has four types of accommodation; Deluxe A.C cottages, Deluxe non-A.C cottages, Suite cottages and Twin cottage. Cottages are designed in such a way that almost all of them get a close view of either the mountains or the forest. All the cottages are built up of echo-friendly materials. Tiled roof, wooden ceiling and laterite walls provide them a Malabar touch. There are 8 Non A.C Deluxe cottages (Sauparnika, Ashokavani, Parnashala, Sreeshylam, Kamyakam, Indeevaram, Nikunjam, Chitrakoodam ), 2 A.C Deluxe cottages (Panchavadi & Chaithram), 2 Family Cottages (Aranyam and Haritham) and a twin cottage (AlakaNanda).

Eat, relish and be merry" is the slogan during holidays. In Agraharam you can eat from its Naalukettu restaurant, looking at the reserve-forest infront. The resort serve mainly South Indian food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Chinese and Continental items are also made available. They provide Barbeque and Tribal food also. Many of the vegetables used in the kitchen are plucked from their farm yard. Lunch, snacks and dinner are served in the restaurant against order. They serve food in buffet style. Food is unlimited except in the case of fish. Customized food is also an exciting feature. They do not provide liquor but allow the guests to bring.
