Shri.  M.  Achuthan

 

Hearty welcome   to Shri. M. Achuthan who is serving as a teacher and who is also a writer, to Kerala's modern literary website pages in Internet. Shri Achuthan who entered   the literary field, as a short story writer, was born on June 30, 1930, in a place called Vadama in Thrissoor district. Apart from Short Stories he has many other creative works to his credit. His education that began in St. Antony's High School in Mala. Ended with a B. A degree, in Maharajas College, Cochin.  Having left Kerala in 1953, he accomplished a postgraduate degree   - MA- in Malayalam with a first rank, from the University of Madras and returned to his homeland in 1956. Landing back in Kerala, He started his professional career as a college lecturer in St. Albert's College in Ernakulam. Later until 1983 he served as   head of the language department in many Government college s in Kerala. In 1983 he took a voluntary retirement from teaching profession.

Other Designations held:

  1. Publication Manager in Mathrubhoomi.
  2. Chief Public Relations Manager to the Chief Minister.
  3. Director - State Institute of Encyclopedic
