AKBAR   KAKKATTIL

 

A hearty welcome to Shri Akbar Kakkattil   to Kerala’s modern literary website pages in Internet. When Malayalam language flowed into modernity many new faces appeared to literary front. Even while they tried to propagate the aroma of  'neo consciousness’ and encourage the new vigor, they took enough care not to lose the invaluable traditional beauty that was safeguarded and handed over   by the great teachers of language, from time immemorial. Shri Akbar Kakkattil was one among them. Shri Kakkattil a well-known personality in Malayalam literary field was born   in a place called Vadakara in Calicut, on July 7th, 1954. From childhood itself he had aptitude in many languages.  This childhood aptitude enabled him to obtain a graduation degree in English literature and a post graduation degree in Malayalam literature.  He is serving as a teacher in Kerala.  He has to his credit more than twelve creative works in   Essays, Stories and Novels.
