Sam Pitroda to arrives in Thiruvananthapuarm
Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the National Innovation Council and Chief Mentor of Kerala’s development planning efforts, has arrived in capital city on Tuesday night.
Pitroda will be holding talks with cabinet Ministers here today o familiarise himself with the development programmes of the State Government. Pitroda will have a three-hour session with the Chief minister, ministers and Planning Board vice-chairman and members. Knowledge city, waste management, IT/ITES and high-speed corridors will figure in the discussions.
The Cabinet decided to seek the service of Pitroda, who is also the chairman of the National Innovation Council, both for development and planning initiatives.
Taking into account the complexities and delays involved in land acquisition for developing transport networks, Pitroda will give stress on developing water transport–both inland and offshore.
