Kerala retained the overall championship for 15th straight time at 57th National School Athletic Meet
Kerala retained its stranglehold over the overall championship title for a record 15th year in-a-row backed with yet another show of strength on the concluding day of the 57th national school athletic meet at the Guru Nanak stadium, Ludhiana, on Monday.
The final days proceedings, which had just eight finals on the cards, saw Kerala all the way as its athletes won six gold medals.
Eventually, the team finished streets ahead of its rivals with an overall haul of 29 gold, 25 silver, and 15 bronze medals and a tally of 265 points. Host Punjab (8-14-16) and Haryana (11-4-7) with 99 and 81 points were placed second and third.
