Customs officers plan to organise countrywide rally

A rally under the joint aegis of the All India Customs and Central Excise Group “D” Officers’ Federation, the All India Customs Group “D” Officers’ Federation and the All India Customs Ministerial Employees Federation will be held in
Delhi
on August 21 demanding the acceptance of 10 demands.
The rally would start from Jantar Mantar followed by the launch of a hunger strike by seven federation leaders. Employees from across the country would participate in the rally. The agitation would be spread if the demands were not met, S.K. Jamal, Secretary General, All India Customs and Central Excise Group “D” Officers’ Federation, said in a press release on Wednesday.
