HC states Doctors, Nurses most exploited in private sector
Kerala High Court has observed that doctors, nurses and teachers in private sector are the most exploited class and low paid.
Even doctors who pass out MBBS after five year rigorous course were getting only Rs 5,000 in some hospitals as salaries and nurses a meagre amount, the court said.
A division bench comprising Acting chief justice Manjula Chellur and Justice P R Ramachandran Menon made the observations while considering a petition filed by a patient who sought police protection for undergoing dialysis at Kolencherry medical mission hospital where nurses are on strike since the past few days.
The bench refused to grant any interim order and posted the case to tomorrow.
