CM regrets slow growth in IT sector
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has expressed his regret that the state failed to achieve in the IT education the same level of growth which it attained in the general education sector.
Addressing the valedictory function of the two-day State School IT Festival at the Technopark here, Chandy said state had to focus more on developing IT education and related IT based industries.
In this context, Chandy pointed out that Keralas IT export earnings was only Rs.3,260 crores while IT export of neighbouring Karnataka was more than Rs.77,000 crores.
