Aranmula boat race today

Pathanamthitta: Elaborate arrangements were being made for the annual Uthrittathi snake-boat regatta (Vallamkali) to be held at Aranmula on Sunday. As many as 42 snake-boats would take part in the race on Sunday. Water Resources Minister N.K.Premachandran will inaugurate the boat race and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will preside over the function.
Union Minister for Tourism Kumari Selja will inaugurate the annual event.
