Interview With Stars

One of the rising stars of the Malayalam film industry, Neeraj Madhav is a well known actor and dancer. He has now established himself as a choreographer as well. He made his debut with Raaj Prabavathy Menon’s movie Buddy in the year 2013.

Personal Life

Neeraj was born on 26 March 1990 and he is the native of Thiruvannur, Calicut. He is the elder son of Dr. K. Madhavan and Latha. His father is a veterinarian, while his mother is a teacher. He also has a younger brother Navneeth, who is also a dancer turned actor.

Early Life

He completed his schooling from the St. Joseph’s Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Calicut. He did his graduation in Visual Communications from SRM University, Chennai and his post graduation in Theatre from the School of Dramaand Fine Arts, Thrissur.

Neeraj is also a trained Bharata Natyam dancer and was the student of Kalamandalam Saraswathy and her daughter Aswathy. He has also completed his training in chenda under the tutorship of Kalanilayam Udayan Namboodiri.

Television Career

He started off his career as a dancer in the first season of Amrita TV’s dance reality show named ‘Super Dancer’, where he was one of the finalists.

Film Career

Neeraj started off his film career with the movie Buddy (2013) directed by Raaj Prabavathy Menon. He was later on made part of Jeethu Joseph’s 2013 hit movies, Memories and Drishyam. He then went on to act in many other movies like Oru Indian Pranayakadha (2013), 1983 (2014), Apothecary (2014), Sapthamashree Thaskaraha (2014), Homely Meals (2014), Mariyam Mukku (2015), Oru Vadakkan Selfi (2015), Madhura Naranga (2015), KL 10 Pathu (2015), Jamna Pyari (2015), Kunjiramayanam (2015), Charlie (2015), Adi Kapyare Kootamani (2015), Oozham (2016), Oru Mexican Aparatha (2017)and Lava Kusha (2017). His upcoming movies include Pipin Chuvattile Aparatha and Rosapoo.

His debut choreography was for the song “Enne Thallendammava” from the movie Oru Vadakkan Selfie directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan.


Won the 2015 Asiavision Award for ‘New Sensation in Acting (Male)’, for various movies.
