RUNAWAY CHILDREN -  A SOCIAL PROBLEM

Did you know that an estimated 120 children run away from homes everyday in kerala .To wander the streets in abject misery.Domestic conflicts,pressure to perform,and illparenting forces them out of their homes.Some get kicked out by step parents.
Without education,security and income they often fall prey to anti-social elements.Some grow up to become criminals.Others die premature, unnatural deaths. A few rejoin their parents. But thousands are left to the mercy of the world.Shouldn`t we do something bettter the lot of these destitute children?Suffering horried lives not by choice,but by the force of unfortunate circumstances.

REHABILITATION - THE NEED OF THE HOUR
Rehabilitation of these children is urgent and essential for the welfare of society.Providing them with basic necessities like food,shelter and education can transform them into promising citizens of the future.But they got to be picked up from the streets before they fall into the clutches of the criminals.Winning thier hearts by love and care can subsequently lead to locating their parents. Those whose parents cannot be located need to be taken care of permanently.

THE AWAKENERS - A SOLACE TO DESTITUTE CHILDREN

THE AWAKENERS CHARITABLE TRUST,KOCHIis on a mission of rehabiliating street children in kochi.We invite generous contribution from you.The trust is registered under the Indian Trust Act,1882.
Wenow have a few children housed in a temporary shelter.Some of the inmates have been united with their parents.Still more are found in the streets are brought under our protection.
The trust has purchased an acre of land at Thiruvaniyoor,around 28 kms fromCochin city.We intend to construct a permanent building to set up our destitute home.
By providing finacial assistance for this project, you will be shedding light into the lives of numerous helpless children and ushering them a bright future
