was Lord Siva - the
personified Mula nakshatra

seat of Apãna
and Mrtyu at 240 degrees
on the cosmic circle.
Astronomy, astrology,
and the theories of
spiritualism had their
origins in the Nãga
clans of ancient world
which probably had
a universal presence
as is evident from
the cultural remains
found in different
parts of the world
like India, Egypt,
Mesopotamia, South
America and in many
other islands of the
far east. It was in

- Mulãdhãram.
Tãntrik bio-cosmic
rhythm was projected
onto the sky to create
Kãlapurusha
(Cosmic Man of Time)
with the aid of the
decimal and sexagesimal
notations. The 360-degree
orbit with Mula at
240 degree (Kunda
or naraka where apãna/mrtyu
resides) has 12 major
divisions known as
Rãsis or signs
having unique character
